BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS MEETING & PUBLIC HEARING(S) ANNOUNCEMENT
The City of Springboro Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 6:00 PM in Council Chambers at the Springboro Municipal Building, 320 W. Central Avenue, Springboro, Ohio 45066. The Board will meet to conduct three public hearings concerning variance requests from the strict interpretation of the Planning and Zoning Code.
- A variance application filed by Judy Elswick, property owner of 60 Elkins Lane, requesting a variance to allow construction of an addition to within 18 feet of the rear property line. The property’s zoning, R-3, Medium Density Residential District, requires a 25-foot setback from the rear property line.
- A variance application filed by Posey Construction on behalf of H&S Hamilton Properties, LLC, property owner of 216 East Mill Street, requesting a variance to allow construction of an addition to within 27 feet of the rear property line. The property’s zoning, M-1, Light Manufacturing District, requires a 40-foot setback from the rear property line. The property at 216 East Mill Street houses Digilube.
- A variance application was filed by Daklak Do, property owner of 1550 South Main Street, requesting a variance to allow construction of an accessory structure in their front yard. The property’s zoning, R-1, Estate-Type Residential District, does not allow accessory structures in front yards. The proposed location is roughly 350 feet from the front property line.
These Public Hearings are being held in accordance with the Planning & Zoning Code of the City of Springboro. A copy of the variance applications are available for review on the City of Springboro’s website at www.cityofspringboro.com under Springboro News and the Springboro Building & Zoning Department at 320 W. Central Avenue, Springboro, Ohio 45066 between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday, legal holidays excepted. The board may also conduct business during the meeting for organizational or general purposes.
