Command Staff

The Springboro Police Department command staff consists of the Chief of Police, a Lieutenant in charge of Operations, a Lieutenant in charge of Administrative Services, and five Sergeants.

Operations Division


Involves the handling of any call for service from the 911 phone call or non-emergency phone call to the prosecution of the crime in the court system.

Administrative Services

Involves the management of any issue involving the facility, policy, training, accreditation, payroll, evidence, or personnel management.

Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is organized into three patrol watches and is the most visible component of the police department. Each patrol watch consists of a platoon of police officers, which are supervised by a Sergeant. The Patrol Division overlaps their shifts to provide better coverage of staff during peak hours of calls for service.

The Patrol Division responds to a wide variety of calls involving crimes, domestic related incidents, traffic incidents, nuisance complaints, neighborhood problems, business concerns, escorts, as well as assisting other law enforcement agencies working on investigations in the City of Springboro.
