WINTER MOVIE SERIES FOR KIDS

The City of Springboro presents three FREE family movies this winter at the Springboro Performing Arts Center, 115 Wright Station Way. Showtimes are noon and 2 p.m.   Concessions are available. Admission is free and no tickets are needed. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show time and close at the start of the movie or when the theater is full. For more information, call 937-748-5774.

The wild robot"The Wild Robot" will be shown on Saturday, Feb. 21, and tells the story of Roz, a robot shipwrecked on an abandoned island who forges relationships with the local wildlife.

 

“Smurfs” is scheduled for Saturday, March 14. When Papa smurfsSmurf is taken by evil wizards Ramamel and Gargamel, Smurfette leads the Smurfs on a mission to the real world to save him.

 







"Minecraft" will be shown Saturday, April 11. The story follows four misfits who suddenly transport to the Overworld—an eminecraft movie2nchanting yet dangerous dimension. They navigate perilous and often hilarious challenges while discovering themselves and searching for home.


PERENNIAL EXCHANGE April 18 at North Park

Perennial exchange

Branch out and grow your garden! Join us for a unique event where you can exchange and expand your plant collection while connecting with fellow gardeners. Sponsored by the City’s Tree Authority, the event is Saturday, April 18 at North Park shelter, 195 Tamarack Trail. Preview begins at 9:30 a.m. and trading starts at 10 a.m. 

What to Bring:
 Participants should bring 10 labeled plants—perennials, bulbs, rhizomes, trees, shrubs or indoor plants. Gardening tools, books, pots or planters are also welcome and can be added to the exchange.

How It Works:
 All items will be displayed on picnic tables in the shelter at North Park. The event will include 10 selection rounds. During each round, participants can choose one item from a wide variety of plants, tools, books and containers to take home.

Bonus Opportunity:
 Bring an eleventh plant and you'll be entered into a plant raffle for a chance to win a surplus of plants! For more information, call 937-748-5774.

Performing Arts Center

The City of Springboro is pleased to offer a Speaker Series in the Premier Health Theater of the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Featuring a variety of topics, a presentation is offered by Premier Health the third Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m.

Springboro Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee

The Springboro Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) partners with the Springboro Library for a cycling/hiking speaker series.

ART EXHIBITS

The City of Springboro is pleased to offer an Art Gallery in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) lobby, 115 Wright Station Way. Exhibits, which feature local artists showcasing a variety of mediums, change monthly.

Dayton Children's Playground at North Park 

Tplayground equipmenthe Dayton Children's Hospital Playground at North Park opened in May 2024 and welcomes kiddos to swing, climb, run and slide! The 30,000 sq. ft. all-accessible playground features two age-appropriate areas: one for youngsters under the age of five and the other for children 5 – 12 years of age. Elements include swings, slides, a zipline and climbing tower and musical play areas. Please use the paved entrances/exits only since the area is still an active construction zone as pickleball courts are being added. Located at 195 Tamarack Trail, North Park is Springboro’s busiest park and home to the City’s Summer Concert Series and other special events.

Kacie Jane Splash Pad 

Cool off at the Kacie Jane Park Splash Pad, located at Crosley and Lytle Five Points roads! It's the perfect place for water play, playground fun and soaking up summer vibes. Open daily from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. beginning Thursday, May 22! Free and fun!KJ Splash pad  gateway (8)

CONCERT SERIES at NORTH PARK

"Am I allowed to bring a cooler?":  Yes, but no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.
"Can I bring a chair/blanket/pillow?": Of course! Always bring seating and anything else to keep you comfortable!
"Will there be food trucks?": Food trucks will be onsite for all Friday shows. Limited food trucks will be available for the Tuesday and Sunday shows. 
"Can I bring alcohol?": No. Outside alcohol is not permitted at any time. Beer sales available.
"Will the concert be canceled if it rains?": Check our website and social media sites for updates.
"Is handicapped parking available?": The parking lot closest to the stage is available for handicapped parking. This area is reserved for handicapped only on Friday evenings. If the lot is full, drop off and pick up near the seating entrance is available.
"Where can I get a list of food trucks?": Check our social media sites a few days before each event for a list of food trucks, or call 937-748-5774.
"When can I set up my chair?": The park is open dawn until dusk. All chairs set up are at your own risk. Please do not place blankets or other coverings on the ground to "save" spaces. This damages our grass and your blanket could be removed. 

CONCERT SERIES at WRIGHT STATION

The City of Springboro will present an entertaining lineup of FREE outdoor concerts  through the end of August at Wright Station, at St. Rts. 741 and 73. Bring your own seating. the area is a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA). All shows start at 7 p.m. Thanks to our 2025 sponsors Pickrel, Schaeffer & Ebeling, Playa Bowls Springboro,  River Valley Credit Union, Synergy Building Systems, Wade Insurance and Warped Wing, the lineup includes country, rock, oldies, blues, swing, a cappella and more! Boro BOOM! Springboro July 4th Fireworks show at Springboro High School

CeleFireworks!brate Independence Day with a night under the stars! Each year the City and Clearcreek Township host a fireworks show and festivities on July 4. Bounce houses, live music by kids' activities and food trucks start at 6 p.m. Fireworks show at 10 p.m. Call 937-748-5774 for more information.

Touch A Truck at North Park

Each year, the city hosts this event at  North Park, 195 Tamarack Trail. Featuring Police cruisersService dept. employee by a City truck, fire trucks, backhoes, service vehicles, SWAT, tow truck, school bus, race car and more! Kiddos have the opportunity to sit in the driver's seat, honk horns and get an up-close look at all kinds of cool equipment. This event is FREE and open to the public. Sensory sensitive time with no horns or other loud sounds is 9:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. The event goes until 1 p.m. Free an open to the public!

Bike the Boro 

Each year in September, the City of Springboro hosts Bike the Boro with traditional bike rides and festivities at North Park, 195 Tamarack Trail. Bike the Boro features three bike rides giving cyclists of all ages and levels the opportunity to ride throughout the City. Bicycle helmet giveaways and helmet fittings along with exhibitors including bike shops and bicycle education will also be a part of the event. The rides start at 10 a.m. 

After the rides North Park will be filled with bounce houses, bike shops, manufacturers and advocacy groups along with exhibits and equipment from the Springboro Police, Clearcreek Fire and Warren County SWAT. This event ends at 1 p.m. 

BoroFest and Vendors Market at North Park 

North Park was buzzing with family-friendly fun including food trucksbounce houses, beer sales and live music, providing plenty of activities to keep kids and adults entertained throughout the afternoon. Beer sales support Springboro United Church of Christ. A brand-new event in 2025 — the Springboro Vendors Market! The Vendors Market will feature a wide variety of Springboro artisans, crafters and small businesses showcasing everything from handmade goods and unique gifts to specialty products and creative services. Holiday Activities 

Each year the City offers several special Christmas activities including Letters to Santa, Santa Visits and a drawing for a decorated Christmas tree. Check back in late November for details.
