The June show highlights work by Cecilia Brendel who has long drawn inspiration from the Romantic period of the Old Masters, as well as painting techniques from the 17th century. In pursuit of this artistic heritage, she embarked on a journey along the Rhine River, exploring Germany’s castles and landscapes. This exhibit reflects The German Series, featuring landscapes, portraits of the people she encountered, and glimpses into the rich cultural history of the region. An artist reception is set for 4 – 6 p.m. Saturday, June 7.
