[ARCHIVED] Austin South Springboro Development

Austin South Springboro

The proposed development for the south side of Austin Boulevard, officially named Austin South Springboro, was publicly unveiled at the City Council meeting of September 7.  Larry Dillin of Viscap, who will act as the developer for the project, presented the sketch drawing above to the City Council, also providing details about the project.  Austin South Springboro will incorporate a mix of uses, including retail, restaurants, corporate office, hotels, assisted living, medical offices and multi-family apartment and townhomes.  In all, approximately $330,000,000 in private investment is proposed for the site.  The City, through a Development Agreement which is accessible in the links below, have agreed to provide $32,000,000 in public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, greenspace, landscaping, lighting, etc.) to accommodate the project.

The uses proposed for the development will mirror many of those on the north side in Austin Landing, but the City will be very strict on the road layout and traffic patterns through this development, ensuring easier vehicular and pedestrian access.  All the public infrastructure will be constructed first and then the amenities and buildings will be constructed afterwards.

It is intended for the infrastructure construction to start in late Spring 2018.

Please use the following links to view the Development Agreement and Site Development and Design Criteria required for all the buildings, landscaping, lighting and public spaces within the proposed development.
