Dr. Yufeng Wang is the featured artist for March in the Springboro Performing Arts Center, 115 Wright Station Way. Wang is a Chinese brush painting/ceramic artist and a college professor of Humanities.
Wang’s painting technique uses the fine-tipped Chinese brush with ink and color on paper, silk, and ceramics, creating a rhythmic synchronization of stroke variations and texture expressions to form a “mind image” of the subject. As a teenager, Wang’s love of traditional Chinese art was inspired by renowned artists Sun Qifeng and Fan Zeng in Tianjin, China. She was featured on WYSO’s Studio Visit by Susan Byrnes in May 2022, https://www.wyso.org/arts-culture/2022-05-11/studio-visit-yufeng-wang .
