[ARCHIVED] FiberShow'23 featured at Springboro Performing Arts Center

An eclectic fiber art show is returning as the featured exhibit for the month of September at the Springboro Performing Arts Center, 115 Wright Station Way.  

Cathy Jeffers, well-known fiber artist, coordinated the show. In addition to Jeffers, an art quilts artist, the show features artists from the Dayton/Cincinnati area including Charmaine Boggs, cyanotypes; Lynn Campbell, art quilts and fiber enhanced sculpture; Cynthia Catlin, art quilts and 3-D forms; Jeanne Fehskens, mixed media paper collage; Elisha Frontz, large scale paper/sculpture/paintings; Boyd Hastings, felting; Marsha Pippenger, paper collage paintings; and Jessicah Taylor, fiber sculptures.

An artist reception and hands-on art activities are set for 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9. Presentations and demonstrations are for participants ages 5 and up. This is a free event.

  • 2 – 2:30 p.m. Learn to sew quilts with Lynn Campbell
  • 2:30 – 3 p.m. Boyd’s Farm to Felting with Boyd Hastings
  • 3:30 – 4 p.m. Make & Take: Decorate cyanotype bookmarks with Charmaine Boggs

 Gallery hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment by calling 937-748-5781. The exhibit runs through Sept. 26. The show is free and open to the public.
