The Springboro Performing Arts Center will showcase the works of Kimberly Ceccarelli and Yuki Hall in a collection of oil, pastel and watercolor paintings “Rhythm of the Brush”, August 1 – 23 in the gallery. Kim specializes in oil and pastel painting. Some of her paintings feature en plein air, a method whereby she places an easel outside and paints the natural world she sees around her, greatly influenced by natural light effects and color. Yuki is a watercolor artist whose approach to watercolor painting emphasizes simplicity, effective use of tonal value patterns, fluidity and execution of confident brush strokes. In her painting, she strives to create a sense of atmosphere without being bogged down with unnecessary details. Both Kim and Yuki are award winning artists recognized for their talents and painting styles.

An artist reception is scheduled 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, August 11 in the gallery, located at 115 Wright Station Way. Hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with some extended hours on evenings and weekends or by appointment by calling 937-748-5774.
