[ARCHIVED] Springboro Police to offer ALICE Training to local businesses

Springboro Police Department logo

The Springboro Ohio Police Department will conduct a free ALICE Training session for Springboro businesses on October 5. The training is set for 8 a.m. – noon at Springboro High School.

ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) Training instructor-led classes provide preparation and a plan for individuals and organizations on how to more proactively handle the threat of an aggressive intruder or active shooter event. Whether it is an attack by an individual or by an international group of professionals’ intent on conveying a political message through violence, ALICE Training option based tactics have become the accepted response, versus the traditional “lockdown only” approach.

Space is limited to 50 participants. Registration is required. Please contact Officer Aaron Nicley, anicley@springboro.org, or (937) 748-0611 to register.
