The City of Springboro's filing deadline is April 30. Our relaxed filing deadline allows you to focus on getting your Federal return filed by the IRS' April 15 due date. Remember, you’ll need to at least file a copy of the first page of your Federal Form 1040 with your completed City return; other Federal forms may also be required, depending on your sources of income. Please be sure to get your return to the City Building no later than April 30. You can send your return via postal mail, drop it off at one of our physical drop boxes (located in the parking lot near the library and in the foyer of our City Building), or drop it off with a member of the Tax Department. Please note: taxpayers who do not file by the due date are subject to a $25 late-filing penalty unless they have applied for an extension of time to file with the IRS or the City.
